Last week, we had the pleasure of attending the 50th Polish Film Festival in Gdynia. As part of Gdynia Industry, during the networking breakfast of KIPA’s Young Producers Section, we hosted Legal Espresso by SKP.
 
Our lawyers shared insights into today’s legal challenges: Maciej Kubiak spoke about AI in film production, the new PFI requirements, and bridging European and US standards in co-productions; Tomasz Pieczyk, head of our corporate team, discussed the specifics of corporate disputes in the audiovisual industry; and Piotr Nikołajuk outlined practical safeguards in bridge financing in Poland.
 
Our warmest congratulations go to the creators of “Franz” directed by Agnieszka Holland, which premiered at the festival and won the Silver Lions! The film about the life of Franz Kafka was produced by Metro Films and Marcin Wierzchoslawski, together with Marlene Film Production and X Filme Creative Pool. We are proud to have provided legal support during its international co-production.
