As part of “Wyobraź Sobie” competition – an initiative that has long supported young creators in the Polish film industry – Maciej Ślusarek once again led a lecture on the legal aspects of screenplay protection.
 
“Wyobraź Sobie” is a competition for film ideas organised by Watchout Studio, open to screenwriters, writers, journalists and amateurs who want to present their concepts in treatment form. The competition is held under the Honorary Patronage of the Starak Family Foundation. This year marks its 5th edition.
 
Maciej covered the key issues every creator will sooner or later encounter: the boundaries of inspiration, the significance of underlying rights, and the practical aspects of the screenwriter-producer relationship. Understanding these matters is real protection for your work – before it ever reaches the screen.
