She specialises in life sciences consultancy, with particular focus on pharmaceutical law in business, as well as in corporate law issues, including M&A transactions, and individual and collective labour law. She has worked for clients from the TSL, pharmacy and IT sectors on legal aspects of broadly defined business activities.

A lawyer with long and unique in-house legal experience gained in legal departments of large organisations. She is distinguished by her excellent understanding of business needs and effective and efficient communication with clients.

She is interested in contemporary British literature and enjoys creative writing after hours. She loves sports, in particular running and horse riding. 

Experience

For many years she worked as an in-house lawyer in the largest and fastest growing Polish container terminal, and then in a global corporation, belonging to the ten largest IT companies in the world. Before joining SKP, she worked for a nationwide chain of pharmacies.

She was responsible for the implementation of internal company regulations, including work regulations, remuneration regulations, benefit fund regulations and labour law procedures, e.g. concerning organisation of work, counteracting mobbing and discrimination, whistleblowing and disposal of property entrusted to an employee by the employer. She has supported individual and group dismissal processes. She has also taken an active part in negotiating collective bargaining agreements and participated in many discussions with trade unions. She has represented employers in employment disputes at the court stage, as well as before the State Labour Inspectorate.

She provides legal support in the area of production, distribution and advertising and marketing of medicinal products, supplements and cosmetics. She advises on the operation of pharmacies and running and developing a franchise network (including advice on M&A and competition law). She has advised and represented the company before public administration authorities (WIF/GIF and PPIS/GIS).

She has drafted and implemented corporate documents, including contracts and articles of association, regulations and resolutions of company bodies, as well as codes of ethics, codes of good practice and a number of policies (including those concerning anti-corruption). She has organised and conducted general and shareholders’ meetings as well as supervisory and management board meetings. She has also advised on issues related to the introduction of management incentive schemes, the conclusion of management contracts, non-competition and other agreements with board members and other managers.

Knowledge sharing

She has conducted a number of trainings aimed at employees of company departments and members of management boards in the field of criminal, fiscal and disciplinary liability, with a comprehensive coverage of the role of managers of all levels in labour law.

She engages in pro bono activity, with particular emphasis on legal and civic education addressed to children and schoolchildren. She also acts as a guardian ad litem for minor victims in criminal proceedings with a particular focus on sexual offences.

Education

A graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Gdańsk and the School of Law at the University of Sheffield (United Kingdom). She holds a postgraduate diploma in Pharmaceutical Law in Business from Kozminski University. She is registered on the list of attorneys-at-law of the Gdańsk Bar Association (OIRP GDAŃSK).
