Specialises in intellectual property law, with particular focus on copyright, image protection, as well as protection of reputation, good name and privacy.
Experience
She is involved in litigation regarding infringements of personal rights of individuals and legal persons in artistic, journalistic or marketing activity, as well as in proceedings concerning protection of intellectual property rights and combating unfair competition. She advises clients in connection with media crises.
In her professional portfolio, she provides services to entities from the creative industry. She also provides ongoing legal services to film and television producers.
Previously, she worked at the LSW law firm. She has also gained experience in Polish and international law firms, as well as in a renowned entity from the publishing industry.
In 2023, she received the Rising Star accolade in the IP STARS ranking, published by Managing IP.
Knowledge sharing
During her studies, she was involved in the activities of the Scientific Circle of Civil Law, the Intellectual Property Law Circle and the local government activities. Co-organiser of numerous conferences and workshops, e.g. the Casebook Academy project – a series of workshops for students consisting in a critical analysis of the Supreme Court case-law and the Private Law Academy organised at the Jagiellonian University.
Education
A graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Jagiellonian University. Under the supervision of Professor Ryszard Markiewicz she defended her Master’s thesis on the protection of fictional characters under Polish and American copyright law. She completed, among others, the Cracow Intellectual Property Law Summer School, the School of American Law and the International Business and Trade Summer Law Program organised by the Jagiellonian University in cooperation with The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law. A graduate with an LL.M. in American law pursued under a scholarship programme.
Admitted to practice as an attorney by the Warsaw Bar Association.
