In September 2022, on behalf of the Mieszczankowski family—who welcomed their daughter into the world thanks to in vitro fertilization—we filed two lawsuits: one against the Minister of Education and the other against the author and publisher of the History and the Present (“HiT”) textbook. The content of the book authored by Professor Wojciech Roszkowski, actively promoted by the former Minister of Education, grossly violates the dignity and reputation of parents and children born as a result of IVF procedures.
 
Shortly before the Christmas holidays, we successfully negotiated a settlement with the Ministry of National Education, which resulted in the publication of an official statement. The current Minister of Education, Ms. Barbara Nowacka, acknowledged that the content included in the HiT textbook should not be taught to children. In May, the second set of proceedings—against the author and publisher—continues before the court in Kraków. On behalf of the Plaintiffs, we are seeking an injunction to cease the infringements, a public apology, and the donation of funds to a designated social cause.
