Experience

We have supported producers on more than 100 audiovisual projects (films, series, TV programmes). The SKP team has experience in handling projects produced and licensed for the biggest streaming platforms in the world - including Netflix, Showmax, HBO.

We launched a new sports channel on the Polish market under licence from an American company

Our activities included

  • negotiations with foreign entities regarding license agreements,
  • creating the internal legal framework for the operation of the channel
  • negotiations with a content provider for the TV channel – audiovisual materials, including in particular coverage of specific sports tournaments.

We advise producers of computer games

We draft, review and negotiate contracts necessary for the creation and operation of computer games. We are responsible for contracts with programmers, graphic designers, screenwriters, animation studios, distributors, advertisers, sponsors, media patrons, as well as agreements regarding rights to fictional characters. Among other things, we led the process of acquiring the rights to create a computer game based on a best-selling book by a Polish author.

Film co-productions

We provided comprehensive legal services for numerous Polish film productions and international film co-productions (with partners from Poland, the USA, Germany, Canada, France, Switzerland, Sweden, Italy, Croatia, Finland, Portugal, Hungary, Ukraine, Lithuania, Finland, India, Mexico, and China, among others).

Legal services for producers and TV formats

We provide ongoing legal services to major Polish TV producers. We prepare and negotiate option contracts for international formats of popular TV entertainment programmes, as well as contracts for the production of programmes based on such formats, contracts between producers and broadcasters, and contracts with jurors, participants and programme partners.

Project leaders

In addition to the day-to-day handling of projects, our team advises industry organisations. It also conducts numerous workshops and training sessions for, among others, the National Chamber of Audiovisual Producers (KIPA). Maciej Ślusarek and Maciej Kubiak are also arbitrators of the Court of Arbitration of the Audiovisual Market (SARA).
