Experience

Infringement of personal rights in book publications
We represented a well-known journalist in his lawsuit against the publisher of a book describing the family life of media celebrities during the communist era. The publication violated the journalist’s good name and presented his biography in a false light. The court case is currently pending. As security for the claim we obtained for the client the removal of his likeness from the cover of the book.
A dispute over rights to source codes
Our lawyers represented a company developing specialised software, among others, for the military sector. The case involved a dispute with a former partner over rights to source codes and a database.
Precedent-setting sampling trial
We represented a well-known Polish singer in a dispute over the unlawful use of a fragment of his song in the chorus of a well-known hip-hop hit.
